Who starts off with which rings?

Kelly and Sharon: Young Professionals [Both]

Sharon was uncomfortable. Re-entering the cool, air conditioned lobby of her office, styrofoam takeout box full of sushi in hand, she sighed and continued to pretend to listen to her junior and subordinate, Kelly. Sharon had nothing against the girl personally. She found her quite attractive, even. Though she usually preferred women with more muscle, Kelly’s flowing red hair and soft facial features made her cute, in a girl next door kind of way. She’d almost be threatening to Sharon, if not for the vast difference in their assets. Kelly had decent breasts and a shapely butt, but neither compared to Sharon. Her bulging chest and giant rear had helped her many times over the years, as she leveraged the good favor they curried into a managerial position at a well-established company.

Kelly kept on babbling about how much fun lunch had been, as Sharon held in a groan. They happened to be leaving the building at the same time, and before Sharon had the chance to say she was busy, they were already sitting down and ordering. If there’s such a thing as being too nice, she would be the very first example one could think of.

Entering the building, the two of them both noticed the secretary Maria, an even younger woman than the two of them, frantically clacking away at her keyboard and shooting looks towards an odd, small black package sitting on her desk. Her light brown face was flushed, as she absentmindedly sucked on her thumb.

The redhead rushed forwards, calling out towards reception, “What’s wrong?”

Maria looked up, and flushed even deeper. Sharon smirked. This was the kind of reaction she was used to when she walked in the room. She knew the effect that her striking black hair and well-kept facial features had on others, and the effect only multiplied when her massive, bulging chest or full stuffed ass were within eyeline. Yet, Maria managed to look away after a moment and turn towards Kelly.

“So-sorry! Someone dropped off this package and I have no idea what it is or who it goes to. Usually packages go to the loading dock anyways…”

Sharon picked up the box without a second thought. The label simply read, To: Oracle. She snorted.

“Hilarious. I’ll take care of this, secretary.”

Maria was trying to start a sentence, but Sharon was already walking towards the elevator, opening the package. Kelly followed her into the elevator just as the doors were closing.

“Her name is Maria, you know. I think it’d mean a lot to her if you could remember,” said Kelly, looking about as huffy as Sharon had ever seen her.

Not paying her any mind, Sharon finished prying off all of the tape on the package before popping off the top. Inside was the felt-covered interior of a ring box, holding within it two bangles: one a reflective silver and the other a sleek gold color. Without a second thought, she slipped the silver ring onto her right hand. Sharon admired how snugly it fit on her hand, giggling to herself at her new find.

Kelly, meanwhile, looked aghast as she asked, “Shouldn’t we be finding out whose rings those are and delivering them?”

Sharon gave her most charming smile to convince Kelly that she shouldn’t worry - or say anything - about the rings. “Of course. I’m just holding onto them while we search. After all, isn’t it our responsibility to make sure they end up going to the right person?”

Kelly blinked as reality changed, making her no longer care about the rings’ propriety. “Well, the rings were just sitting at reception. It was good of us to move them out of the way.”

Kelly reached into the box and pulled out the gold ring before Sharon could react and slipped it on her own right hand.

“It does look good on there! I’m glad they were just sitting there. I’m sure whoever Oracle is won’t mind,” beamed Kelly.

Sharon tried grabbing the ring back from Kelly, but the redhead kept her distance.

“Can you stop trying to take this from me?”

And just like that, Sharon stopped. They had both found the rings together, after all, and her own silver ring looked much better on her than that silly gold one would. The dumb woman can take the scraps. The elevator opened, and the women went their separate ways, rings in tow.
